Katrina Ortblad, ScD, MPH

Dr. Ortblad is an Assistant Professor and implementation scientist at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle, United States. Her research seeks to improve equity in health access with differentiated models of service delivery, primarily for HIV prevention interventions. Her research projects, all of which are implemented in Kenya in collaboration with Kenyan researchers, test different models of pharmacy-delivered HIV pre- and post-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP/PEP), of streamlined clinic-delivered PrEP/PEP, and of peer referral to existing PrEP/PEP delivery platforms. To conduct her research, she uses diverse methods across the fields of epidemiology, economics, public policy, psychology, biostatistics, and implementation science.
