Gabrielle Flowers, BS
My name is Gabrielle Flowers, my family, friends, and colleagues call me Gab. I was born in New Orleans, LA and raised in Seattle, WA (West Seattle). From a young age, I had the privilege of being exposed to dedicated community organizers whose primary goal is to make the world more equitable for populations who have been marginalized throughout history. Social justice is rooted in my family, and I plan to keep that torch going for my two children.
In 2016 I started my career path at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in the Imaging & Procedure Suite scheduling department while simultaneously earning my Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Administration. My role at Fred Hutch gave me the opportunity learn about Breast, Colon, and Lung Cancer screenings which in turn provided me with tools to have an open dialogue with my family, friends, and community members about cancer prevention. In 2021 I began a new role as the Program/Department Coordinator for Breast Health Equity where I've worked diligently to address disparities in breast cancer screenings while removing barriers that prevent women from getting screened. My primary goal is to ensure all people have access to quality health care.
