Gregory A. Parker, MD is a practicing hematologist oncologist affiliated with the University of Oklahoma Stephenson cancer center, and the Oklahoma City VA Medical Center. He received his undergraduate degree in 1979 from Washington University in St. Louis with an AB in biology, and graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of medicine in 1983. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Oklahoma Tulsa College of medicine in 1986 and completed a fellowship and hematology/oncology at VCU/medical College of Virginia in 1988. He is board-certified in internal medicine and medical oncology. He practiced in the Oklahoma City community from 1988 until 2020, and upon retiring from private practice, accepted his current position at the Oklahoma City VA HCS, and the University of Oklahoma. His community practice years encompassed the broad application of general hematology and oncology, and he was fortunate to have the opportunity to participate in physician leadership in his practice and in his affiliated hospitals. His outside interests include teaching, musical performance, various outdoor activities and travel.
