DALIA HAMMOUD, MD

Dr. Dalia Hammoud, MD is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist with over a decade of clinical, academic, and leadership experience. She currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and Feist-Weiller Cancer Center, where she leads the Genitourinary Oncology and Skin Cancers Clinics.
Dr. Hammoud earned her medical degree from the Lebanese University School of Medicine and completed her internal medicine training at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita. She went on to pursue fellowship training in Hematology and Oncology at Tulane University, where she developed a strong foundation in evidence-based cancer care and clinical research.
Her academic career has included appointments at Ochsner Louisiana State University, Overton Brooks VA Medical Center, and the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She has contributed to multiple book chapters and has authored or co-authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications, abstracts, and national conference presentations.
Dr. Hammoud is deeply committed to advancing evidence-based, compassionate care. She is certified by the American Board of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine (ABAIM), a distinction that underscores her commitment to integrating advanced data science and AI technologies into clinical oncology. This expertise positions her at the forefront of precision medicine, survivorship innovation, and predictive modeling in cancer care. She also holds professional certificates from Harvard University in “Exercising Leadership and Communication” and “Humanitarian Response to Conflict and Disaster”. Recognized for her excellence in clinical care and education, she has received multiple awards, including the Gold Humanism Honor Society Award and Certificate of Appreciation for oncology service.
Dr Hammoud has also completed the Cancer Survivorship Series Program through George Washington University, reflecting her dual commitment to innovation and comprehensive survivorship care. She is dedicated to advancing evidence-based, equity-focused survivorship programs that improve long-term outcomes and quality of life for cancer survivors.
