Dr Hagen Kennecke is an oncologist specializing in early detection, preventive therapy and treatment of gastrointestinal cancers—including bile duct, colon, small intestine, pancreas and rectal cancers, as well as appendix and neuroendocrine tumors. He serves as Section Chief and Chief Health Officer of the OHSU Knight–Legacy Health Cancer Collaborative. An active clinician-researcher and multiple-award recipient, Dr Kennecke chairs national and international GI oncology trials, sits on the NCI GI Steering Committee and has held leadership roles in the Rectal-Anal and Neuroendocrine Tumor Task Forces. He collaborates extensively with ASCO, NANETS, CCTG, SWOG, and LACNETS.
