Dr. Justin Komisarof is a 3rd year fellow in the Hematology/Oncology fellowship program at Baylor College of Medicine. He graduated from the MD/PhD program at the University of Rochester in 2019, receiving his PhD in Biomedical Genetics and Genomics. He completed residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Rochester, working as a hospitalist for a year after graduation while starting up a clinical trial teaching chess to patients with cancer-related cognitive impairment. He is planning on an academic career in thoracic oncology and is particularly interested in supportive care for cancer patients. He is currently on a research year sponsored by a CPRIT training grant.
