Dr. Omar Abughanimeh is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) and practices at Nebraska Medicine. He is specializing in hematology and oncology, with a focus on thoracic and head and neck cancers. Dr. Abughanimeh is actively involved in clinical research and is leading several clinical trials here in Nebraska as principal investigator. He was recognized nationally for his research by ASCO, ASH, and AACR.  He also serve as a panel member of the NCCN guidelines for cancer of unknown origin and the vice chair of the data safety monitor committeeat UNMC.
