Dr Sarah A. Holstein is a professor in the Division of Oncology and Hematology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha. She is the team leader of the Myeloma/Plasma Cell Dyscrasia Group at the Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center. She previously served as a myeloma specialist at the University of Iowa and the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, Buffalo, NY. Dr Holstein is a physician-scientist whose basic science, translational, and clinical research focuses on myeloma. She is an active clinical investigator and has been involved in clinical trials for patients with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma, with relapsed/refractory disease, as well as in the post-transplant maintenance setting. She serves on numerous national myeloma committees, including serving as vice-chair of the Alliance Multiple Myeloma Committee and is a member of the International Myeloma Working Group. Dr Holstein has published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles and multiple book chapters. She serves as an associate editor for Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics as well as British Journal of Haematology.
