I grew up in India and completed my bachelor's in medicine there. I then moved to the United States to receive residency training in internal medicine. Intrigued by the advancements and novel therapeutics in cancer medicine, I pursued a leukemia fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston and then completed my hematology and medical oncology fellowship at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. I then joined as faculty in the department of leukemia at MD Anderson Cancer. My research focuses on novel therapeutics in CLL, low-risk MDS, and myelofibrosis. I am also interested in looking at the disparity in outcomes across various types of leukemia.
