Nicoleta Voian, MD, MPH
Dr. Nicoleta Voian is a clinical cancer geneticist. Dr. Voian oversees genetic counseling and testing at Providence Cancer Institute, Portland, OR. She helps individuals to understand their cancer risk based on their personal and family history of cancer. She supports healthcare providers with the most current information about inherited predisposition for cancer, and guidelines for cancer screening and risk reducing options. Dr. Voian is board certified in medical genetics and preventive medicine. She is a fellow of American College of Medical Genetics and member of Professional Practice and Guidelines Committee. She is also a member of the Collaborative Group of the Americas on Inherited Gastrointestinal Cancer. Dr. Voian served as a member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) panel on Genetic/Familial High-Risk Assessment for Breast and Ovarian Cancers. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timisoara, Romania and received her master’s in public health from the University at Buffalo.
